Dr. Douglas McMahon grew up in St. Paul, MN and currently lives in Woodbury, MN with his wife and three children. As a child, he developed severe food and environmental allergies along with asthma. Based on his own symptoms and experiences, he decided at a young age to pursue a career in medicine to help those that struggle with these same issues. He attended St. Thomas Academy High School. He earned his B.S. degree from Boston College. He then obtained a Master's degree in Physiology and Biophysics. Dr. McMahon obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree from Georgetown University. In addition, he has a pediatric specialty degree from the University of South Florida and a specialty degree in Asthma, Allergy, and Immunology from the University of Wisconsin. He practices as an Allergy and Asthma Specialist in St. Paul, MN. Additionally, he was the former Director or Outpatient Allergy at the University of Minnesota, past president of the Minnesota Allergy Society and is a frequent lecturer at national medical meetings for food allergies. Dr. McMahon has been named one of the top doctors in Minnesota and in the U.S. for the past 7 years.

Dr. William Busse

Dr. Busse was a director on the American Board of Allergy and Immunology (1989-1995). He was on the Advisory Council, National Institutes of Health, National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (1996-2000). Dr. Busse was a member of the Expert Panel on the Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Management of Asthma (1989, 2002), and is presently chair of this group, and a member of the Board of External Experts, National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (2006-present). From 1994-2004, he was on the AAAAI Board of Directors and served as President of the AAAAI in 2000-2001.

Dr. Busse has been a co-editor of the book Allergy: Principles and Practice and Asthma and Rhinitis. He was associate editor of the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine (1997-1998) and associate editor of the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (2002-2005). In 2001 he was elected into the Association of American Physicians. Dr. Busse received the Folkert Belzer Life Achievement Award in 2004, and the American Thoracic Society Award for Scientific Accomplishments in 2005, and in 2008 received the Citation Award for Achievement from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

Dr. Dennis Ledford

Dr. Ledford is the former president of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. This prestigious honor is the most highly sought after elected position in the US in terms of Allergy. He is also the Associate Editor of the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology 2007.

Additionally, Dr. Ledford is a Professor of Medicine at the University of South Florida and works in the training program in allergy and immunology. Dr. Ledford is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology and past editorial board member for the Annals of Allergy Asthma and Immunology. He is also serving on the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and is Governor of the Southeast Region of the State Local and Regional Allergy Societies of the American Academy Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and an elected member of the Board of Directors of the AAAAI.

Dr. Joseph Diaz

Dr. Diaz has served as clinical assistant professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.

In addition to his private practice, Dr. Diaz is the President and Medical Director of Allergy and Asthma Research Center, established in 1989. As Medical Director of the Research Center, Dr. Diaz says his patients benefit from access to new medicines and information not yet available to most physicians or patients.
